Abstract
•A RSR model is introduced for multi-focus image fusion.•Local consistency among adjacent patches is considered in the fusion method.•A dictionary is constructed for RSR by using “row-sparsity” constraint.•The fusion method introduces few spatial artifacts to the fused image.•The fusion method has high computation efficiency.
