•The software framework jMetalSP for Big Data Optimization is presented.•jMetalSP has been deployed on a Hadoop/Spark cluster to solve the dynamic TSP.•Three different data sources have been considered: Open Data, Twitter, and Kafka.•Obtained solutions are able to adapt to changing traffic conditions in NY.•jMetalSP is open source and free available to academic and industry communities. |
