•A framework for detection and security of authentication entities in the documents.•The signatures are segmented based on the stroke information.•The seals are detected based on the textual content of the seal.•The integrity of authentication entities is ensured via three authentication bits.•Forgeries are detected well with accurate localization and consequent restoration.
