•A multi-sensor system with finite-step correlated noises is studied.•The process and observation noises of different sensors are finite-step correlated.•Filtering error cross-covariance matrices between any two local filters are derived.•A distributed fusion filter is obtained by a matrix-weighted fusion estimation algorithm.•The proposed algorithms are extended to solve systems with random parameter matrices. |
