Abstract
•A multiobjective adaptive symbiotic organisms search (MOASOS) is proposed.•A two-archive approach is also applied in MOASOS to maintain population diversity.•Five benchmark planar/space trusses are employed as case studies.•The proposed algorithms are compared with similar studies published in the literature.•The results show the merits of the proposed algorithms.
