Abstract | ||

Blur is a common visual phenomenon and it is capable of guiding attention. There are various kinds of blur effects and the extension can be made to geovisualization when these effects are added into blur variable. This paper proposes four different expression forms of blur effects by building a new classification system based on analyzing the occurrences and sources of blur, and then, detailed demonstration is given to explain the way applying each kind of blur into geographical visualization. |
