Abstract
•We consider production-distribution scheduling problem on parallel batch machines with multiple vehicles.•A mixed-integer programming (MIP) model is formulated to verify the correctness of the implementation of the heuristics.•A deterministic heuristic H and two ACO-based heuristics are proposed to solve the problem.•Experimental results show that the MMAS algorithm slightly beats the HACO algorithm, which shows the better performance than Algorithm H.
