Title
Multi-Objective Optimization Of Induction Surface Hardening Process
Abstract
In the paper, the billet made on magnetic steel is heated by means of a two turns inductor with a current in the order of kA and frequency in the order of 100kHz. The improved inductor with the aim of hardening the billet until a depth of 2 mm avoiding overheating of the surface is searched for by means of a bi-objective optimization problem. In particular, the NSGAII and M-NSGA algorithms are used considering both geometrical and physical parameters.
