The number of applications and services hosted in the cloud are increasing continuously due to important new perspectives and new business models. Unfortunately, these new perspectives faces new requirements not addressed in legacy application (multi-tenancy, scalability, etc.) that leads to complex re-engineering phases in order to migrate existing software into a cloud environment. Quality assurance is a crucial aspect to consider starting from an evaluation phase of porting feasibility of a legacy application. This paper proposes a way to estimate the feasibility of a re-engineering for an application that should be migrate to a cloud. We evaluate software engineering aspects as loose coupling, multitenancy, database characteristics, etc to allow software engineering to evaluate and plan action to migrate legacy application. |
