This paper describes the design of a LC-tank low power reconfigurable VCO compatible with sensor networks and IoT applications. The circuit was designed using 130 nm CMOS technology on Cadence Virtuoso for a 2.4 GHz operation frequency. The chosen topology was a LC tank, designed to operate using 3 different power supplies of 410 mV, 500 mV and 600 mV, representing the reconfiaurability of the circuit. The final layout has an area of 528.75×224μ m

and all the presented results were obtained in post layout simulations. The reconfigurable oscillator presents a power consumption ranging from 100.45 μ W to 411.36 μ W and a phase noise of -109 dB and - 114 dB at 1 MHz, using supply voltages of 410 mV and 600 mV, respectively. |
