Abstract | ||

Characterized by inattention, hyperactivity and impulsivity, Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a serious mental disease mainly affecting preschool children. In clinical diagnosis, the monotonous environment of hospital makes children feel scary easily, affecting their natural performance. Moreover, the assessment of ADHD primarily depends on the doctor's experience and observation, lacking pleasant and objective diagnosis supports. To cope with this problem, we design a contextualized and objective system, named COSA, to support auxiliary diagnosis for ADHD, which is based on Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-V). COSA assesses ADHD symptoms by three Serious Game based contexts. At the same time, multi-dimensional data are acquired during testing, including physiological data, movement data and task related data. The effectiveness and acceptability of COSA are verified through questionnaires for doctors, parents and children. |
