Disturbance Compensation Based Piecewise Linear Control Design for Perching Maneuvers
Abstract
This paper investigates the control design approach for perching maneuvers of fixed-wing aircraft in the presence of both initial deviations and mismatched disturbances. The highly nonlinear longitudinal dynamics is transformed into a piecewise linear model. A disturbance observer is designed and a piecewise linear controller using the estimates of disturbances is constructed. System stability and disturbance attenuation are analyzed theoretically. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control approach.
