Simulation On Abnormal Behaviors In Metro Station Emergency Evacuation
Abstract
Abnormal behaviors that affect the emergency evacuation time are crucial to avoid harmful results. In metro station such behaviors as, turn back, companionate evacuation, and halt are even more critical because of their specific characteristics. A new time model, including abnormal behaviors in metro station emergency evacuation, based on Pathfinder software for computing evacuation time is introduced in this paper. The emergency evacuation is simulated in the different locations of a metro station in which an abnormal behavior may happen such as, station grounds, stairs, turnstiles, exits, etc. Eventually, an analysis about which abnormal behaviors have more impact on the emergency evacuation in metro stations is provided.
