Title
Resilient Mesh Network System Utilized in Areas Affected by the Kumamoto Earthquakes.
Abstract
Based on the lessons learned from the Great East Japan Earthquake, the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology has researched and developed a network technology that is resistant to disasters. This paper outlines the disaster-resilient regional-mesh network system called “NerveNet” and its platform details. The NerveNet Platform was utilized for disaster recovery after the Kumamoto earthquakes. A disaster drill for communication support activities is also described.
