Title
The interaction between predator strategy and prey competition in a pair of multi-predator multi-prey lattices
Abstract
•A numerical study of a deterministic, discrete multi-dimensional predator-prey system.•We determine the optimal degree of predator focus according to prey phenotype subpopulation.•In a single predator phenotype environment, a linear degree of focus is optimal.•For multiple predator phenotypes, least or most focused survive dependent on consumption rate.•Weighting of prey competition affects internal dynamics more than average properties.
