Title
Uneven land development and the spatial diffusion mechanism
Abstract
Based on the socio-economic statistics data and relevant land use ridge data from the period of 1990 to 2011, the paper analyzes the uneven development of farmland conversion in Wuhan City by using GIS spatial analysis method. In addition, the spatial Lorentz curve of farmland conversion in Wuhan has been developed and the center of gravity curve based on the non-agricultural speed grading has been made. This paper also analyzes the spatial diffusion path of farmland conversion, and makes a comparison among gravity center curve's movement of farmland conversion, economy and population. Then it reveals the non-balanced development of farmland conversion in Wuhan during the process of economic growth, so as to provide reasonable land policy guidance for Wuhan City's scientific and sustainable development.
