Along with the advancements of Internet of Things, the security challenges have also escalated at an alarming rate. The recent increase in DDoS attacks involving IoT-enabled systems has created a lot of disturbances in the digital world. Defending DDoS attacks in the IoT environment is a difficult but essential task. Even though there is some progress being made to create secure IoT systems, due to the resource-constrained nature of IoT devices, there can be instances that large-scale attacks can't be handled by the network. In such cases, a third party can be asked to handle the risk. Such risk transfer mechanism can be constructed on an economic incentive-based agreement. We are modeling a risk transfer mechanism for an IoT environment to defend large DDoS Attacks. |
