Title
On modeling and simulation of the behavior of IoT malwares Mirai and Hajime
Abstract
Nowadays, IoT malwares are becoming a general threats. Typical examples are Mirai and Hajime. Recently, the battle between these two Malwares attracted attention. First, we modeled Mirai to infect IoT devices. Three patterns of simulation were performed while changing the frequency of reboot. As a result, it proved that infection rate decreases as reboot frequency increases. Next, We modeled the infection of Mirai and Hajime on the devices, the change in state of internal malware and device when infected. In that model, simulation was performed into two situations with different network topologies, and proved that the network topology affects the infection rate of Mirai.
