The aim of this paper is to project and simulate an energy management system which has application in a real-life hybrid energy generation microgrid. Both rule-based and fuzzy logic control systems are simulated using MATLAB/Simulink. The control strategies are compared in regards to diesel generator usage, storage system charge and discharge behavior and the overall system energy balance. |
