•The uncertainties of spacecraft formation flying system are unknown time-varying.•The proposed coordination control scheme is robust against inertia uncertainties and disturbances under actuators saturation.•Aiming at optimizing the control algorithm, a dynamic adjustment function is introduced to adjust the control gain according to the tracking errors.•The coordinated controller is designed to track the desired time-varying trajectory under a more practical communication topology.•The presented control law can avoid the system’s chattering. |
