Perception Enhanced Robotic Arm
Abstract
Now, robots are widely used within industry productions. However, with robots alone, they can only do repetitive and fixed works which is clumsy and inflexible. On the other hand, as imperious demands of elderly-care, medicalassistance and service-industry assistance are increased, more intelligent and flexible robots are needed. To meet the need above, our CCNT lab, Zhejiang University, proposed a Prototype of Perception-Enhanced Intelligent Robotic-Arm System. The system consists of two main parts. The first part combines Epson C4-601 Robot Arm and Robotiq 3-Fingers Hand which cooperate to complete mechanical actions. The second part combines several perception components like Tactile, Vision and so on. Here we will give three examples: Address object to people, Classify and Sort Fruit, The Game of Hanno Tower, to show the intelligence and automation of the system.
