Optimal sensor deployment to increase the security of the maximal breach path in border surveillance. |
Abstract | ||

•We consider an application of wireless sensor networks for border surveillance.•The problem is formulated as a sequential game between a system planner and intruder.•A mixed-integer linear bilevel programming model has been developed with integer variables in the lower level.•Three heuristics have been developed and the matheuristic based on Tabu search performs best. |
