Title
Analysis on the Output Characteristics of Wind Farms in Plateau and Mountain Areas.
Abstract
The output characteristics of wind farms in plateau and mountain areas are quite different from those in plain areas. Based on the principle of wind farm generation, by analyzing the characteristics of wind power in mountainous areas, the output characteristics comparison of the single turbine and the whole wind field and the correlation of wind speed in wind field, we find that there are more air return phenomena but wake effect is not obvious in plateau areas. Besides, wind speed and direction vary greatly in different areas of wind farms and the anemometer towers of wind farms are not representative of the whole field. These features that we have found lay a solid foundation for the research and building of an accurate model of wind speed in mountain areas.
