Developing a semi-analytical algorithm to estimate particulate organic carbon (POC) levels in inland eutrophic turbid water based on MERIS images: A case study of Lake Taihu. |
Abstract | ||

•We validated the suitability of POC-estimation algorithms of inland turbid waters.•OSM was found to be the best indicator of POC concentration in inland turbid water.•The absorption peak of TSM at 665nm is the optimum parameter to estimate POC.•MERIS bands of 7, 10 and 12 were used to develop a semi-analytical algorithm. |
