Execution-time integration of clinical practice guidelines to provide decision support for comorbid conditions. |
Abstract | ||

•Comorbid conditions are, despite their prevalence, insufficiently supported by CDSS.•We present an approach to dynamically coordinate comorbidity management in CDSS at execution-time.•Both clinical safety and optimization of resource usage is targeted.•CIG integration is made conditional on (a) dynamic health profiles, (b) runtime delays, and (c) acute comorbid conditions.•Execution-time integration decisions are refined as comorbid CIG execution progresses. |
