•Automatic Single View Reconstruction for both indoor and outdoor scenes.•Novel line-based method for arbitrary plane orientations and multi-planar layout.•Introduces a local angle constraint rather than global parallel line grouping.•Exploits the statistical profusion of orthogonal angles in man-made structures.•Does not require Manhattan world assumption or visible ground-vertical boundary.
