Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
•We presented a new finite-element time-domain Maxwell solver for body-of-revolution geometries.•The solver enables the use of a Cartesian 2-D code with no modifications necessary except to accommodate anisotropic media.•The proposed solver does not require any modifications on the basis functions adjacent to the symmetry axis.•The new Maxwell solver is illustrated in a number of problems involving electromagnetic fields in cylindrical structures. |
