Hybrid Free Space Optics/Millimeter Waves (FSO/mmW) networks represents a promising solution for fronthaul transmission in C-RAN 5G architecture. In this paper, new resource allocation scheme is proposed for hybrid FSO/mmW 5G fronthaul networks. The proposed scheme is formulated as multi-objective optimization problem (MOOP), where network reliability and average transmitted power are targeted. The numerical results reveal that significant enhancements in network performance are achieved by implementing the proposed optimal resource allocation scheme, especially at severe weather conditions. |
