Title
Ultra-high spatial resolution fractional vegetation cover from unmanned aerial multispectral imagery.
Abstract
•Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) multispectral imagery was acquired at an Australian rangeland site.•Fractional vegetation cover was derived from the UAS imagery using three methods.•Object based classification achieved the best results at the 100 m plot scale (RMSE = 12–13%).•No method was able to accurately determine all three cover fractions at ultra-high resolution.
