In today's increasingly competitive marketplace, designers, users and manufacturers are extremely concerned with the affective qualities of medical equipment. This study features a semantic differential (SD) experiment to acquire the subjects' perceptions of 10 typical samples of operating microscope. Finally, a hierarchical analysis structure was established according to the evaluation scores from the SD experiment. An operating microscope with the affective perception of “friendly” and “comfortable” was designed according to the hierarchical analysis system. The experiment provides a reliable basis for further affective design of medical equipment. |
