We experimentally show that the dispersion penalty of a 50-Gb/s NRZ signal under 85-ps/nm dispersion can be reduced to below 1 dB via receiver-side equalization, showing the promise of supporting 50G-PON downstream transmission over 20-km SSMF at the 1342-nm wavelength. |
