Abstract
We experimentally investigated the wavelength drift of directly modulated lasers for low-cost TWDM-PON. Counter-heating techniques using both a resistor and a dummy diode with otherwise identical DMLs have been compared for drift performance and time behavior under burst-mode-operation.
