Transmission of 200Gbps PM-16QAM Signal Through 7-Core MCF and MC-EDFA Using Novel Turbo Cladding Pumping Scheme for Improved Efficiency of the Optical Amplification
Abstract
We have confirmed 110 km MCF stable real-time transmission of PM-16QAM signal amplified with novel turbo cladding pumping scheme. Optical gain was improved by 2 dB as we recycled residual 0.98 μm pump, enabling 32% reduction of power consumption.
