In this paper we present the multi-year collaboration between Rupprecht-Gymnasium München, a preuniversity school (K-12) in Bavaria, Germany, and MathWorks, an international scientific computing company. The school is STEM-focused and a member of the German national STEM school excellence network MINT-EC; they prepare students aged 10 to 18 for university careers. We highlight the starting motivation for the partners and describe several building blocks and initiatives including curricular and extracurricular activities for students as well as teacher training that became part of the collaboration. We also discuss future steps for the partners and how this project could be transferred to other schools. |
