Title
Multi-Objective Protein Encoding: Redefinition of the Problem, New Problem-aware Operators, and Approach based on Variable Neighborhood Search
Abstract
•The protein encoding is an important task in bioinformatics.•We propose MOVNS and new problem-aware mutation operators.•We introduce improvements in the definition of this multi-objective problem.•We assess our approach over eleven real-world protein datasets.•We compare with the existing related work, obtaining better results.
