Mixed reality world overlays the real world with the 3D virtual objects. It provides 3D user interfaces placed within real world for better user interaction and operability. Hence making its way to a huge number of fields. This paper introduces the novel approach of controlling the air traffic using mixed reality's interaction mechanisms. Conventional user interfaces within control tower are hard to understand and could not provide better picture about various situations at airport and the traffic in air. This system provides the holographic displays for viewing the 3D information of air traffic from any angle in the mixed reality world. It provides view of multiple information and switching among them from a single see-through display which reduces the required number of computer screens at control tower. It also enables controllers to remotely control air traffic from any distant location with the help of a head mounted mixed reality display. |
