Title
Service Discovery In Heterogeneous Iot Environments Based On Ocf/Iotivity
Abstract
We present a framework for service discovery in a device area network comprised of heterogeneous devices. First, we identify the sources of heterogeneity in the IoT devices layer and then present how to handle the different types of heterogeneity with the target of presenting a unified service architecture based on the Open Connectivity Foundation (OCF) specifications. This service discovery framework is part of an overall IoT framework called the CAMPIE Platform. This platform presents how the device layer can be integrated with the CAMPIE middleware and cloud service. The work demonstrates the feasibility of using OCF as a general framework for service discovery and eventually service composition.
