•The leaderless consensus of a class of strict-feedback nonlinear systems with uncertainties under actuator and sensor attacks is considered.•All the closed-loop signals are globally uniformly bounded.•Asymptotical consensus can be guaranteed with distributed adaptive leaderless consensus strategy under cyber-attacks.
