Hybrid wind-diesel systems are mainly used to supply remote communities which are located far from the main electric power grid. This paper discusses the integration of hybrid wind-diesel systems through a DC common bus and control the overall system by relying on the power sharing property of this architecture. Such design is cost effective and simple in implementation. Throughout this paper, the results from an preliminary experiment are presented to verify the feasibility of such architecture. |
