Title
Some Technology Issues In A Connected World
Abstract
A connected world consists of embedded systems that are attached to physical space and cloud systems through the Internet that provide various services. The connected world is now close to realization. In this invited talk, we discuss two topics on implementing the connected world from the viewpoint of embedded systems: research directions for the connected world and the challenge of security design in vehicles. The contents of the first topic were created by a group of embedded system researchers. The research directions include increasing design productivity using advanced digital technologies, updating embedded systems with feedback on usage information, and transforming businesses with Internet-of-Things platforms responsible for service changes. The second topic concerns a design method for integrating functional safety with security in a vehicle. This method contains a behavioral model and development process model.
