Switches and routing for on-chip photonic networks
Abstract
Multi-chassis routers of datacenters can be scaled up, using a core plane of 16×16 nanosecond photonic switches, without modifying existing packet line cards. Our silicon photonic chips save 90% power consumption in the switch core.
