Evaluation of WSS Characteristics in Highly Dense WDM Networks
Abstract
We evaluate transmission characteristics of WSSs used in highly dense WDM networks. The passband measurement and transmission simulations show that spectrum narrowing enhanced by the deviation of the WSS passbands drastically shortens the reachable distance.
