•The model used for the simulation is the improved cancer treatment model with radiotherapy.•This improved model is obtained by integrating the previous cancer treatment model with the Caputo fractional derivative.•Cells population decay due to radiation was accounted for by coupling the linear-quadratic model into the improved model.•Numerical parameters are obtained from previous literature while the radiation parameters are obtained from reported data of four brain cancer patients treated with stereotactic radiotherapy.•The results from the simulation showed the dose-volume relationship of the tumors and the percentage decline in the normal cells’ population.•This paper is aimed at contributing to research activities in the field of cancer treatment with radiotherapy. |
