In this paper, we present a spectral library of Indian urban materials and our efforts to release it in public domain through a standard framework. “Tarang” is a spectral library of the field spectra for various manmade and natural materials in urban environment. Tarang web services are based on Open Geospatial Consortium (OGC) compliant Web Processing Service (WPS) standards. Users can `view', `search', and `match' the spectral data. Tarang web services are designed to be consumed by any sensory devices to detect a target material. The library is available at http://www.splibtarang.com/index.php. |
