Title
A multi-period and multi-regional modeling and optimization approach to energy infrastructure planning at a transient stage: A case study of China.
Abstract
•Modeling resolution is improved to provincial and monthly level.•Regional variation of resources, transmission and demand fluctuation can be covered.•The optimal energy infrastructure planning could be obtained.•Impacts of low-carbon transition policies can be illustrated in a quantitative way.•A transition pathway for China up to 2050 is provided with minimum overall cost.
