Title
A Single-Input Multi-Output Piezoelectric Energy Harvesting System Combining with P-SSHI and Cold Startup Circuit
Abstract
In recent years, more and more scholars use interface circuits to absorb energy from the environment to solve the self-powered problem of wireless sensor network nodes. In this paper, according to the parallel synchronized switch harvesting on inductor (P-SSHI) technology, we propose a single-input multi-output of piezoelectric energy harvesting system. This system adopts the active diodes instead of traditional rectifier structure to reduce the loss of rectifier. And a cold startup circuit is designed for this system based on the theory of spilt electrode of piezoelectric transducers (PTs). Furthermore, the system regulates the output voltage over a dynamic range to supply different power loads. This proposed system has been designed and simulated in a 0.18μm CMOS process. The results show that the voltage flipping efficiency is 85%. The output power of the rectifier circuit used in this system is 5.8 times that of the conventional circuit. And the system can simultaneously generate 1.2V and 1.8V voltages to supply different loads.
