Information and communication technology has upgraded the delivery of government services to the citizens. Consequently, it has been widely adopted by the government agencies. It is essential to provide the e-Governance services securely to the citizen. Therefore, authentication of the involved participants is indispensable. In G2C e-Governance service, the user participates actively and provides its own credentials for registration. After that, the user is allowed to access different kind of services like e-transport, e-health, e-education through the Internet. For each application service, the user performs registration process and chooses a pair of login ID and password. But, it is inconvenient for the user to memorize login credentials for different G2C e-Governance services. Therefore, one solution is to use common login credential to access any of the G2C services. For this purpose, the user chooses a login credentials and register to a trustworthy agency authorized by the government. Through this login id and password, the user can access any of the G2C e-Governance service one at a time. A multi-server authentication model can be a suitable approach for the user to access different services in a convenient way. Therefore, the authors have proposed an RSA based multi-server authentication scheme for accessing G2C e-Governance services. The security analysis and AVISPA simulated outcomes are also incorporated in this paper to ensure its suitability for this application. |
