Wall superheat at the incipient nucleate boiling condition for natural and forced convection: A CFD approach |
Abstract | ||
---|---|---|
•CFD based analysis to formulate general correlations for predicting the wall superheat at the incipient nucleate boiling for natural and forced convection systems.•The proposed correlations are fluid independent and account for heating surface roughness.•The correlations based on intrinsic fluid properties perform better than those using dimensionless groups.•Case studies for both natural and forced convection systems demonstrate the applicability of the developed correlations. |
