DDoS Detection Framework in Resource Constrained Internet of Things Domain.
Abstract
Development of technology along with ubiquitous nature of internet gave rise to the global network of interconnected devices. This materializes the vision of Internet of Things (IoT) which has become an indispensable member of human life. However, due to the lack of supporting technology, it is still a developing paradigm u0026 hence, major reason for various security loopholes. DDoS has emerged as one of the most prominent attack with the use of IoT devices which are exponentially increasing in number. Therefore, this article aims at developing an approach to efficiently detect DDoS attack traffic originating from compromised IoT devices under a local network router. The experimental results unveiled that our framework achieved high accuracy in terms of detection of DDoS traffic, which confirms that it is a robust and reliable in IoT networks.
