The double-pole solution of the initial value problem for the Harry Dym equation (HDE) was obtained by using the inverse scattering transform (IST) method, i.e., solving the associated Gelfand–Levitan–Marchenko (GLM) equation. Further, we show that the double-pole solution can be viewed as some proper limits of the two-soliton solution obtained by Riemann–Hilbert problem (RHP) and IST method, respectively. |
